Many businesses start with a light bulb spark of an idea. But the path after that is rarely smooth, with many unexpected twists and turns along the way. Having run that business course many times over in a variety of fields, our panelists will illuminate how their ideas came to life, reveal how they managed through the ups and downs of building successful new companies, and share how their paths led them from Caltech to Silicon Valley.

Featuring Shuki Bruck, Caltech's Gordon and Betty Moore Professor of Computation and Neural Systems and Electrical Engineering, and accomplished Caltech alumni venture capitalist Amanda Cashin (PhD '06) and enterpreneur Anthony Chong (BS '11), your panelists—and moderator Caltech trustee and alumnus Rob Chess (BS '78)—will delve into the successes and failures of entrepreneurial ventures and share their insights, experiences, and visions as to how entrepreneurship will continue to innovate and shape the future.
